Randall  Hartman Hartman released his 7th book, "A Slip of the Cog", an ambitious full length novel of a man attempting to ride out the recession by starting up his own faith based business sham in the modern era. It is being well received; and lauded as a "laugh out loud riot" 

Daisy Franco enjoys writing poetry, fiction, and nonfiction and is a member of the Chicago Latino Writers Initiative. She has read her poetry at several venues and most recently shared her work at the 2015 Chicago Humanities Festival. She holds a BA in Communication from the University of Illinois at Chicago and an MA in New Media Studies from DePaul University.

A former assistant editor at Marvel Comics, and co-editor of the comics anthology African-American Classics, Lance Tooks' artwork has since appeared in more than 100 television commercials, films and music videos. The Madrid based Graphic Novelist has created several award winning works, such as Narcissa, (Doubleday/Random House) the four volume Lucifer's Garden of Verses, (NBM Press) The Black Panthers for Beginners (written by Herb Boyd for Writers & Readers Books) and Lance is currently at work on a Thelonious Monk biography for Duke University Press.

 

Martin Willitts Jr is a former Jazz musician. He has 11 full-length collections, plus 20 chapbooks of poetry including “Late All Night Sessions with Charlie “the Bird” Parker and the Members of Birdland, in Take-Three” (A Kind of a Hurricane Press, 2015)

 

Dr. Mikal J. Gaines is scholar of African American Literary and Cultural Studies as well as American film. He's currently adjunct instructor of writing at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA.

Poet/collagist Steve Dalachinsky was born in Brooklyn after the last big war and has managed to survive lots of little wars. His book The Final Nite (Ugly Duckling Presse) won the PEN Oakland National Book Award. His most recent books are Fools Gold (2014 feral press), a superintendent's eyes (revised and expanded 2013/14 -unbearable/autonomedia) and flying home, a collaboration with German visual artist Sig Bang Schmidt  (Paris Lit Up Press 2015). His latest cd is The Fallout of Dreams with Dave Liebman and Richie Beirach (Roguart 2014). He is a 2014 recipient of a Chevalier D’ le Ordre des Artes et Lettres.
